Chorale

The College of the Ozarks Chorale ensemble is an auditioned choir that performs classical, sacred, and secular repertoire from the Renaissance to the 21st Century. The ensemble performs on and off campus several times each semester. Chorale is directed by composer and vocalist Dr. John Cornish. For dates and events of performances, please check our Upcoming Events page.

Chapel Choir

College of the Ozarks Chapel Choir is a non-auditioned choir. All students are invited to join the choir. The choir performs sacred music for the chapel service each Sunday throughout the fall and spring semesters. The choir also performs in other events such as the The College of the Ozarks' Christmas Card to the Community. The choir is directed by Mr. Busch.

Handbell Choir

The Handbell Choir is an ensemble which teaches the techniques of bell ringing to students with little experience in music. The Handbell Choir performs often at chapel services, as well as off campus. The Handbell Choir is not meeting this semester, but will resume at a later time.

Concert Band

The Concert Band is an ensemble for students who have a desire to study and perform standard concert band literature. The band performs on and off campus every semester. The concert band is directed by Dr. Kevin Powers.

Community Chamber Orchestra

The Community Chamber Orchestra was founded in 2014 College of the Ozarks Alumnus Chris Benham, and is currently directed Dr. Luke Carlson. This ensemble was formed to allow the significant number of strings players on campus an ensemble opportunity. Participation is open to all students as well as faculty staff and community members. String players are strongly encouraged to join; no audition is required. Contact The College of the Ozarks' Music Department—music@cofo.edu- if interested.
